We will leave at 10:45 am, from Beth Shalom. We will begin with lunch at Shapiro’s and then go to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (now called Newfields). Art historian Joan Hart will give a tour on Perceptual Effects in Modern art, beginning with Seurat up to the near present, including mostly American artists. The Museum is particularly well-suited for this experience. Most of the art we will be viewing is on the 3rd floor and not much walking will be required.
We have rented two vans which will hold 30 people. We need to hear from you if you plan to come. Please email Joan at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we do not hear from you by April 11, we may not be able to accommodate you.
The cost of the transportation is free. Lunch is paid by each person and the museum now charges admission (for non-members of the museum, which will be $14 .00 per person, if we have a large crowd). Assistance with the cost is available upon request.
Please contact Joan Hart for more information.
