Dinner with Scholar-in-Residence Dr. Diane Sharon

God and the Gods: Cosmic Rivalry and the Theology of Israel

(Dinner and teaching) Cost for dinner: $9.00 per individual; $18.00 per family.

Before the revelation at Sinai, the crossing of the Red Sea, and the Exodus from Egypt, a winner-take-all battle occurred between the one God and the many gods of Egypt. This divine context underpins our redemption from Egypt and informs our self understanding as Jews today.
